The Journey From Outdated to Outstanding

The client’s custom-built, two-story brick pool home with four bedrooms, three and a half baths, formal dining area, and private office provided the perfect levels of spaciousness and comfort to their family. However, while the exterior of the home was stunning in every aspect with French doors and new shingled roof, the upstairs interior was in need of some serious renovation. The client approached our team, looking to completely remodel the stairwell, bathroom, master closet, and bonus room in a way that opened up the flow of the home, made the floors run even, and brought new energy into the outdated living space.

We set about this complex task with dedication and precision, transforming the antiquated bathroom into a glorious washroom and the original master closet into a stunning laundry room. In addition to renovating the stairwell, we also completely re-did all of the flooring, moved the vanity to another location, and turned the single door entry to the bathroom to a double-door entry.

Traditional Elegance Meets Modern Sophistication

Perhaps one of the most interesting aspects of this complete renovation was the addition of the upstairs laundry room. This presented a serious risk to the client in the event of a burst pipe or flooding disaster. We needed a tried and tested system in place that would ensure any overflow water could be transported out of the home and prevented from flooding onto the first floor. For our team, this meant the installation of a washing machine overflow pan and floor drain over a shower base that funneled water down the drainpipe and into plumbing waste lines. However, this wouldn’t be the last of our plumbing adventures.
In our process of renovating the bathroom, we would end up completely relocating the shower, tub, and vanity in a total restructuring of the plumbing and appliance layout. This would entail the installation of custom tile inlay, a full bench, a freestanding tub, tile bathtub surround, and exquisite detail around the vanity. If we had to choose the most impressive feature of this project, it would most likely be the gorgeous custom trim work above the vanity, eloquently designed to seamlessly pull in the mirrors, lighting, and atmosphere of the new space.

A Harmonious Transition Into a Timeless Space

From the very beginning of the construction process until the end, it was absolutely imperative that we maintained a clean and safe environment for the client and their family, who would be living in another area of the home while the project was taking place. This meant that, above anything else, our team was entirely committed to taking whatever precautions were necessary to make sure that the client’s family was protected and their home was spotless at the end of each day. No mess, no hazards, and no unnecessary noises. It is through this dedication that we completed the project without a single complaint regarding noise, cleanliness, or other factors related to the construction during the entire process.
As a result, we were able to create a space that we can proudly say ranks as one of the top five projects we have ever performed. Its elegance, timeless appeal, and welcoming atmosphere with clean lines and airy touches is unmatched. It was an absolute privilege to be able to blend the new with the old and the traditional with the modern for a spectacular final product we know the client will enjoy for years to come.
